Looking for Presenters…
- Have you attended an Online Conference for Music Therapy in the past and entertained the thought that you’d like to be a presenter yourself?
- Perhaps you’re an experienced presenter at the Online Conference for Music Therapy and you’ve been wondering when the Call for Presentations was going to open.
- Or maybe this is the first time you’ve heard about the Online Conference for Music Therapy and you think that it might be interesting to present at an international conference in which travel is NOT required.
Call for Presentations is OPEN
Well, wait no more! The OCMT Organizing Committee and Board is happy to announce that the Call for Presentations for the 2019 Online Conference for Music Therapy is now open. Below, Executive Director, Faith Halverson-Ramos, MA, LPC, MT-BC will tell you a bit more about the proposal process.
What Happens After Call for Presentation Closes
After the call for presentations closes on September 1, 2018, all submitted proposals will go through a blind review process by the OCMT Organizing Committee, minus Continuing Education Coordinator, Mary Jane Landaker, MME, MT-BC. Presenters will be notified in October if their proposal has been accepted. If your proposal is selected, the OCMT Organizing Committee will provide you with training on how to use the GoToWebinar platform before the conference so that you can have the best online presentation experience possible.
A Valuable Experience
The OCMT Board regularly gets feedback from presenters who say that participating in the Online Conference for Music Therapy is a valuable experience for them. The Online Conference for Music Therapy makes it possible for music therapists and other related professionals to share their expert knowledge with an international audience made up of clinicians, researchers, educators, and music therapy students- all without having to leave home. This is especially valuable for presenters who otherwise cannot afford the extra costs typically associated with presenting at an international conference.
The OCMT Organizing Committee hopes that you’ll consider being a presenter at the 2019 Online Conference for Music Therapy. You can submit your proposal online here through our website. You should receive an automatic confirmation that your proposal has been received. If you have not received anything, check your spam folder and make sure that emails from us get to your inbox. If you still didn’t receive confirmation from us within two weeks, please contact us directly.
